2022 was our quasquicentennial year! We met monthly to plan different kinds of events, to culminate with a celebration dinner on St. Andrew’s Day, November 30, 2022. The dinner was a thank you the parish for their roles in nurturing parish life in so many ways, while looking to our future and what exciting new directions St. Andrew’s may go in years to come.
Our festivities included events to which our broader community was invited. Our anniversary celebration was a homecoming for some, as we welcomed clergy who have a significant history with our parish to return to celebrate and to preach. We included the names of parishioners who have died since our 100th anniversary in our prayers for the Feast of All Saints, which was celebrated on Sunday, 11/6/22.
The Committee was made up of nine parishioners and our Priest-in-Charge (since resigned). The creativity, commitment, and effort the various members bring to the table have been inspiring. We celebrated with our fellow parishioners and community over several months. We were led by God and the Holy Spirit to share the joy of God’s love in all our celebrations.
