About Mother Jane:
The Rev. Jane T. Brady-Close, a resident of Ghent, NY, served as rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Pemberton, NJ (2007-2017) and as assistant to the rector at Church of St. John on the Mountain, Bernardsville, NJ (2002-2007). Canonically resident in the Diocese of NJ, she is the founding co-chair of its Committee for Ministry with Older Adults and has also served on the Committee for Priesthood, Planned Giving Committee, Sudan Committee, and as an examining chaplain for candidates for ordination. She has also worked as a chaplain at Albany Medical Center (where she continues as a volunteer chaplain), Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (New Brunswick NJ), and Princeton House Behavioral Health. Her earlier career was in non-profit management and development for WHYY, Inc. (Philadelphia public broadcasting), Columbia University, and New Jersey Audubon. She is a member of the Women in Ministry Committee of Princeton Theological Seminary. She has served on the board of the U.S. Friends of Gladstone’s Library — Britain’s only prime ministerial library in Wales, where her interests have been centered in the poetry of R.S. Thomas, pilgrimage, and Celtic Christianity. Her degrees are from Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M. and M.Div.) and the University of Pennsylvania (B.A. in history). She completed a certificate in appreciative transition ministry from the Clergy Leadership Institute.
