Ministries at St. Andrew's fall in four groups:
- Worship
-
Worship, the central act of our life as a parish, is not possible
without the work of many volunteers, all dedicated to creating a time
and place for beauty and holiness. The ministries which support
worship at our church include: Acolytes, Altar Guild,
Choir, Flower Guild,
Greeters, Lay Eucharistic Ministry, Lectors, Oblationers and Ushers.
Each of these ministries supports our coming together at the table as
Christ instructed us to do.
- Education
-
Working to help children, youth and adults deepen and strengthen their
knowledge of Christ. The Education Ministries include: Adult Faith
Formation, Youth Ministries, Teen Group, Nursery, and Integrity
Congregational Circle. Each provides opportunities for parish members
to expand their spiritual life.
- Outreach
-
Striving to extend the mission of the parish into the wider
community. Ministries working on Outreach include:
Love Thy Neighborhood Dinners, Prayers and Squares,
Outreach Committee and The Shop.
By working to support social justice we make real our
commitment to Christ's vision of a better world.
- Stewardship
-
Responding to God's call to be stewards of our community and it's
resources. Stewardship ministries include: Facilities Committee,
Finance Committee, Foyers, Hospitality Committee, Lay Eucharistic
Visitors, Vestry and Welcoming Committee. These ministries tend the
life of the parish — our people, buildings, funds and future.
If you are not sure which ministry is for you, we encourage you to
speak to the Reverend Mary White, our Rector. She would love to help
you discern your gifts and discover where God may be calling you to
serve. If you feel called to serve in a ministry not described here,
feel free to talk to the Rector and Wardens about it and they will
see how they can support you.
